A good advice
How often do you have to change the brake pads?
The duration of the brake pads depends on factors such as the condition of the brake discs, the hardness of the pad material, how the brakes are used, etc., but as a general rule, they may last between 25,000 and 30,000 km. If the pads are the soft type, they will wear much sooner.
Thus, it is recommended that the brake pads be inspected every 20,000 km or every 6 months. In any case, the pads must be replaced if they are cracked, are missing material, are deformed or their thickness is less than 3 mm.
Extending the life of brake pads, in addition to represent a risk for your safety, may cause disc scratching due to the friction between brake pads steel and disc. Moreover it also represents a risk for your safety.
